Whitetails in the Wild™

All of the images here have been taken of deer that are wild and free. There are no images of privately owned deer kept in high-fence enclosures.

Here you'll find Whitetails from all across the US, in order to capture images of bucks in a wide variety habitat types, from hardwood forests to open prairies to agricultural land to the Rocky and Appalachian mountain ranges.

So much of the buck's physiology changes; not only do the antlers harden and lose their velvet, but the buck's neck swells with the increased testosterone flow, and he sheds his reddish summer coat and his brown winter pelage grows in.
